Central Bucks East traveled to Radnor HS Friday afternoon to take on the Raiders in the last regular season game for both teams.East struck first with a goal by Greg Scholz with 8:22 remaining in the 1st Qt. Radnor answered quickly with a goal of their own with 7:11 remaining. Ryan Brown then scored an unassisted goal with 16 seconds remaining to take a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Radnor scored 3 times in the second quarter and held a 4-3 lead at the half. Both teams scored 2 goals in the 3rd quarter and Radnor led 6-5 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter is where it really got interesting. Radnor scored at the 10:55 mark of the 4th quarter to go up 7-5, East's Ryan Schmidt answered with a goal at the 8:42 to keep it a one goal game at 7-6. At 5:07 Radnor scored to go back up by 2 goals, 8-6.Ryan Brown scored his 3rd goal of the game to pull East within one with 3:56 remaining. Just 50 seconds later Radnor scored to go back up by two goals . Ryan Bullotta then scored his 2nd and 3rd goals of the game, his 3rd goal tied the game with 1:29 remaining. The East defense closed it down to send the game into OT. In OT Radnor scored the game winning goal with 41 seconds remaining in the OT period.

Offensively, the Patriots were led by Ryan Brown (3 goals, 2 assists), and Ryan Bullotta (3 goals), while Ryan Schmidt (1 goal, 1 assist), Greg Scholz and Ryan Stout each had 1 goal. Michael Ott had another strong performance at face-off winning 15 of 23 and scooping up 9 ground balls. Bryan McIntosh and Colin Stein each had 3 ground balls, while Joe Thiroway, John Galow, Alec Bracken, Jacob Manion, and Liam Rosenthal had 1 ground ball apiece.

Defensively, McIntosh had 2 caused turnovers, Thiroway, Ott, and Jake Ventresca each had 1. Liam Rosenthal was strong in goal with 5 saves.

The Patriots concluded the regular season with an impressive record of 14-3 ( 9-0 SOL- National Conference Champions). District One 3A Playoff seeding will be determined Sunday, with the first round of playoffs to begin Tuesday, May 16th. Twenty-Four out of Thirty-Nine District One teams will qualify for the District 1 Tournament, the top 8 teams will have a bye in the first round. It is anticipated that the Patriots will have a high seed. Based upon the final results of the District 1 Tournament, the top 6 teams will then advance to the PIAA State Tournament.
