Council South was down 7-1 to Upper Moreland at half time. Captain Sal Mastromarco delivered a passionate halftime to his teammates. He then led by example as the Golden Hawks stormed back as Sal scored all 7 Golden Hawk goals to force the game to OT. Council Rock South had several quality chances in OT that were turned away by an outstanding effort from the UM goaltender. As a freshman he had 15 goals. There was no sophomore season for the 2022 class, Sal came back strong his junior season netting 55 goals. This season, Sal has distributed 19 assists and one of the leading ground ball players on the team. Going into the UM game he was at 99 goals for his career. Sal performs his best in big games. Council Rock South will need his presence down the stretch.
