Coach Kelly Tait: Cece Hayes really controlled the midfield with 9 draw controls and lead our scoring with 4 goals. All of our midfielders worked really hard to come up with the draw and get the ball down into our attacking end. I'm so proud of the girls, they really are coming together and working really well as a unit. They did a great job settling the ball and working it around finding scoring opportunities. Every player in the offensive end scored a goal today and 4 different players had assists. We know that South is always a formidable opponent and they have some very talented shooters, our girls did a great job controlling the time of possession and kept the ball in our offensive end for most of the second half. When the ball did end up in our defensive end our girls did a great job sliding and locking down their player. It was a full team effort and I am really proud of how they played.
By the numbers: Cece Hayes (4 goals, 1 assist, 9 DC), Paige Dougherty (3 goals, 6 DC), Natalie Berndt (2 goals, 4 DC), Emma Weisel (1 goal, 2 assists), Amanda Ries (1 goal, 1 assist), Megan Fahey (1 goal, 1 assist), Alexis To (1 goal)
