Central Bucks East Comments
Coach Kelly Tait: I am so proud of these girls today. We knew this was going to be a tough game against a very good opponent. We went in with a game plan and the girls executed it with proficiency across all sections of the field. Both teams were putting up good defensive efforts and the game remained scoreless until 4:37 left in the first quarter when Paige Dougherty scored off of a free position. With 41 seconds left in the quarter CRN scored to even it up but 10 seconds later Cece Hayes grabbed the draw and fed Amanda Ries who found the back of the net so we could enter the break up 2-1. CRN came back to go up 3-2 in the 2nd quarter and held onto the lead but I'm so proud of how our defense really shut down lots of scoring opportunities and played cohesively as a unit today and Abby DiAmico was having a career day in goal, coming up with 10 saves.

By the numbers: Cece Hayes (1 G, 1 A, 4 DC), Emma Weisel (1 A, 2 CTO), Paige Dougherty (1 G, 4 DC), McKenna Lynch (1 G), Amanda Ries (1G), Abby DiAmico (10 saves)

Council Rock North Comments
Under scorching 90-degree heat and a punishing 3:30 p.m. start time, Council Rock North and Central Bucks East delivered a battle of heart, hustle, and grit in a hard-fought lacrosse showdown.
The blazing conditions didn’t slow down either team early, but it was the Council Rock North defense that anchored the Indians through the toughest stretches. Goalie Lucy Carney was once again a game-changer, turning away shot after shot and finishing with a stellar 70% save percentage. Her relentless effort between the pipes kept the Indians in control during key momentum swings.
Backed by defenders Keiley Lyons, Abby Steadman, Addison Kohler, and Ella G, CRN's defense held strong, frustrating the CB East offense and protecting their lead in critical moments.
On the offensive end, Ellie Carney—Lucy’s sister—continued her standout season with another hat trick, scoring three clutch goals to keep the Indians in the fight. With the game on the line, senior Jordie Zazoff delivered a powerful 8-meter goal that gave Council Rock North the lead for good and shifted momentum their way.
Olivia Espozito and Catherine McBride each added a goal to round out the scoring in what was a total team effort across both ends of the field.
