Summary:

It was a great start to our season, despite the tough ending for us. We have a lot of young talent, and it took us a half to connect a find our groove. It was tough for the girls playing down a man the entire second half. Wissahickon is naturally an aggressive and solid team, so it was hard to see my team take on most of the cards. My team connected, and worked together, despite having to play a man down for entire half. I think this game could’ve been a different outcome if it was even numbers. Paige Keller really had a lights out game. I saw her step into a leadership role and take the midfield under her wing. Sammy Kishel and Ava Delfini stepped up on the attack and got the ball moving. Paige Dougherty and Natalie Berndt stepped up in the midfield as new freshman. And our defense, who faced the toughest burden playing man down, did fabulous. They communicated and worked together as a solid unit led by Sierra Buesing and Olivia Samkavitz. I am excited to see what this team can achieve this season!
