Newtown, PA — It was a night filled with emotion, celebration, and unforgettable moments as Council Rock North honored its senior class against Neshaminy High School. Under the lights and in front of a proud home crowd, the Indians paid tribute to their graduating players with a powerful team effort—and a few surprises.
Before the opening whistle, the spotlight turned to the senior class:
Captain Abby Steadman – headed to Penn State University
Captain Lucy Carney – will continue her lacrosse career as a goalie at Robert Morris
Captain Keiley Lyons – also set to play at Robert Morris
Addison Kohler – bound for Penn State
Jordyn Zazoff – Penn State-bound
Lila Cohen – will attend Syracuse University
Kate Horan – heading to Louisiana State University
Lily Brand – another future Nittany Lion
These young women have left their mark on the CRN program, and Senior Night gave them a final home stage to celebrate their legacy.
Jordyn Zazoff led the senior scoring surge with 3 goals and 2 assists, flashing her playmaking skills and finishing ability. Lily Brand also made her presence felt with a goal and two assists, while Lila Cohen added a well-earned goal of her own.
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came from Captain Keiley Lyons, normally a defensive standout, who took a rare shift on offense and scored a goal—before stepping into goal and making an impressive save on an 8-meter shot after briefly replacing fellow captain Lucy Carney.
But the most unforgettable moment of the night? Lucy Carney, known for her dominant presence in goal, scored her first career goal—and for the first time, teammates and fans saw her without her goalie helmet. The bench erupted in celebration, and the crowd responded with a standing ovation.
The Carney family had more to cheer about, as Eloise Carney, Lucy’s younger sister, hit a major milestone with her 100th career goal, adding a historic layer to an already emotional evening.
Council Rock North closed the night with a resounding win, but more importantly, they celebrated a group of seniors whose leadership, grit, and passion have helped define the program.
As the regular season winds down, the memory of Senior Night 2025 will no doubt live on—etched in team lore and in the hearts of every fan who witnessed it.
