Council Rock North’s girls' lacrosse team delivered a strong performance against George School, securing a dominant 21-4 victory in an all-around team effort.
From the opening draw, the Indians set the tone, controlling possession and executing a high-powered offensive attack. Ellie Carney led the charge with an impressive five-goal performance, while also dominating the draw circle with seven draw controls (DC) and forcing a turnover (FTO).
Lila Cohen was a key contributor, finding the back of the net three times, while Jordy Zazoff matched her with three goals and an assist. Lily Brand, Mackenzie Pyle, and Gabby Mann each showcased their offensive versatility—Pyle finished with two goals and three assists, Mann added two goals and three assists, and Brand netted two goals of her own. Stella Allain also made her presence known, scoring twice to round out the dominant attack.
The Indians’ midfield and attack worked seamlessly together, with Pyle and Mann orchestrating plays to set up scoring opportunities. Their three assists apiece helped fuel the relentless offensive push.
On the defensive end, Council Rock North remained composed and aggressive, limiting George School’s offensive chances and capitalizing on forced turnovers. Carney’s presence in the draw circle helped the Indians control possession, preventing George School from gaining any momentum.
Council Rock North continues to build confidence and chemistry as they progress through the season. Their ability to control possession, distribute the ball effectively, and finish in front of the net makes them a formidable opponent moving forward.
