This really was a defensive battle for UM. We started off really strong with a 2-0 lead, but Mount was able to close the gap and take the lead for the rest of the game from the end of the first quarter. The Mount has a couple great players on attack that work so well together. We played hard through the last second. The score was 5-3 Mount through half of the 3rd quarter and into the fourth quarter when mount went into a stall ball and then scored 2 goals off the stall in the last 3 minutes. Definitely a competitive game, our defense came through and was really strong throughout the game. Our defense made up of Avery Adamski, Madeline Cox, Maggie Brophy, Leah King, and Addi Hurley made Mount work hard to earn each goal. We had opportunities but couldn’t convert especially on free 8 meter shots.
