There are many moments that make a coach proud but today was a special day to see a player return after tearing her ACL a year ago. I have been able to see a player back on the field 2 times in my UM coaching career, both of which are currently on the team, and it really is a great moment knowing how hard they worked to get to that point. So we celebrate the win today, but we also celebrate our teammates’ return to play. Molly Meakim had a great first day back and was able to score a goal on her return. Isabel Leiter, our other teammate that we have watched come back to play previously, led the day with 3 goals and 2 assists. Annalise Messina had 2 goals and 1 assist, while Olivia Meakim led in the assist column with 2 goals and 4 assists. Willow Taylor, Allison LaRocco, and Alexa Marczak each contributed 2 goals. Jenna Piatieri and Molly Meakim added 1 goal each. Addi Hurley had a great day in goal with 13 saves.
