Halftime UM 4 Hatboro 7
We knew this was going to be a battle being the rivalry between Hatboro and UM and as Hatboro has really been playing well in the last couple weeks. Hatboro proved nothing less than what we were expecting they came ready to play. We have been struggling the last week to mesh together as a unit. We are missing one of our starters and are having trouble coming together to play the way we did in April. We are looking forward to a new start in playoffs as we like to call that our second season with a fresh start.
The first half was a back and forth battle and in the second half Hatboro was able extend the lead to 9-5. With a little less than 10 minutes left Hatboro went into stall ball and we weren’t able to get the ball back. Then with 2 minutes left in the game we got 2 yellow cards and hatboro was able to seal the win with 2 quick goals in the two minutes with us down 2 players.
I am very proud of Emma Meakim scoring her 100th goal. She is a really hard worker and a very selfless player, along with her 100 goals she has almost as many assists as a junior which shows how much of a team player she really is when on the field. Emma is a very focused player in practice and games and her intensity can help ignite the others on the field. She is great at creating opportunities for her teammates and herself to go to goal. She is very deserving of this milestone!
