It was a very sloppy game with both teams having trouble transitioning the ball, making turnovers and not really being settled on attack at both ends.
PW led at halftime. In the second half we, PW, created to many turnovers on the offensive end and we had two yellow cards. Upper Moreland capitalized on our mistakes and got a 4 goal lead that we couldn't recover from.
Several PW defenders played well. Kai Jayo had 4 caused turnovers. Katie Luken, Kaylin Smyth and Anna McNichol played well defensively.

We started off slow, but really came out strong in the second half. Almost 11 minutes passed before the first goal was scored by PW. It really was a scoreless defensive battle by both teams to start the game. PW went ahead by 2 goals with 13 minutes left in the first half. UM was able to battle back to eventually score a goal by Maggie Morrow to make it a 3-3 tie until PW took the lead to end the first half. In the first half we weren’t winning enough draws as PW was controlling a lot of the draws, but we were really able to turn up our game in the second half which started with winning some draws. Coming out big on the draw for us was Annalise Messina (6) and Allison LaRocco (4). Jenna Piantieri also came out with a key draw control when we really needed the momentum to switch. Our defense, led by Cambrie Richmond, Avary Adamski, Charlotte James, and Kellen Distel played really tough today, and kept control of the game. They really kept us in the game, especially in the first half. In the second half we were able to score quickly and PW answered back less than a minute later. After that we were able to really turn up our game and score 6 unanswered goals (O. Meakim, W. Taylor, A. Messina, and R. Cummins) helping us gain more confidence with each goal as the game progressed. Assisting those goals included I. Leiter, A. LaRocco, A. Messina, and R. Cummins. Part of being able to make sure PW didn’t score was Addi Hurley having some phenomenal saves in the last 10 minutes of the game. She really helped us to keep the momentum in our direction. PW is always a tough team and competitor, we always respect their game, but try to just play our game and that is exactly what we were able to do today to pull out the win.
