This wasn’t the prettiest game of lacrosse for us, but we are excited for the win! We were able to get a early lead in the game, but springfield battled back and the game was back and forth. Our defense had a lot of stops today and was able to make Springfield really work for their goals. Alexis Lamb (also scored 1 goal and had 1 assist), AbbyEllen Wood, Maddy Zachwieja, Kat Morrow, Kayla Meakim and Riley Mullen played awesome defense today. Bella Guarenghi also played awesome defense keeping their leading scorer to 1 goal for the game. Emma Meakim helped control the offense with 4 goals and Moira Olexa had an all around great game with 3 goals, 2 assists, and 3 draw controls. Bryanna Gordon also helped the offensive end with 2 goals and Cassidy Hirsch really helped us in transition today and contributed 2 goals, 1 assist, and 2 draw controls. Sarah Veneziale and Maddy Trzaska both played great in the offensive end coming up with some key ground balls. It really was a team effort today. We are ready and excited for the challenge on Thursday against Bishop Shanahan.
