Tonight we celebrate our 8 amazing seniors. This group of seniors came together and worked so hard to build a team that had a good work ethic and strong chemistry and that is exactly what we have on this day. This group is a really special group of players. Congratulations to Heidi Wittick, Sophia Hopf, Kayla Sword, Bree Knox, Natalie Saresky, Mallory Seider, Riley Mullen, and Emma Hurley for creating a new culture of girls lacrosse at Upper Moreland. The whole team is proud of each and every one of you.

This was a tough game for us tonight. We lost a key defender in the first 5 minutes of the game due to an injury and later lost a key attack player in the second half also to injury. Neither player was able to go back in the game. Our defense really had trouble reconnecting after the injury. We battled in the first half, but really struggled in the second half to stay with Springfield’s attack. Springfield’s goalie had some key saves in the second half that didn’t allow us to climb back into the game. We will bounce back and look forward to our last conference game on Wednesday against Quakertown.

Emma Yoder 6 goals 1 assist - hit her 100th goal as a sophomore (sister to Maddie Yoder who is now at St. Joes ???) who won player of the year last year
(Will send photos)

Sam McDevitt, despite playing in varsity games and scoring goals this year … really had her coming out game. She made 3 shots in a row back to back and were beautifully placed (with beautiful passes and transitions) Sam had amazing finishes and we were really proud of her this game! 4 goals 3 assists

Emily smith had 2 goals and 5 assists
Fiona Rizzo 2 goals 2 assists
Maddie McDevitt 1 goal 1 assist

Tess Talbot 13 saves

In the first 4 minutes, we were 4-0 with 4 unanswered goals. After a time out, UM was able to score a couple goals. Halftime score was 7-4 Springfield (so it was never tied up, we maintained the lead throughout)

Proud of my defense - especially Shannon Meder, Shannon Silvius, Autumn Singletary, and Jess Shapley- working together with our middies and talking

I’m all around excited and proud of this team for keeping the fun in the game - I’m proud of the attack for playing smart, I’m proud of the middies for always being in every play and being the “work horses” out on the field, and I’m proud of the defense for never giving up. Overall I’m really happy about their performance. We just want to play good games and have fun

15-7 final Springfield
