This was a hard fought conference game by both teams. Springfield came up with the win and a key component to that was their goalie Tess Talbot. Talbot had some key saves on 8m shots and fast breaks. Emma Yoder also had a great game with 6 goals and 9 draw controls. She really helped control the midfield for springfield.
We had 2 starters from our defense unable to play today, and Jenna Piantieri and Allison LaRoco did a great job stepping into roles they were not used to playing. Our defense really helped keep us in the game. Our midfield and transition went well, especially Isabelle Leiter who did a great job of helping in transition. Annalise Messina controlled the field at both the defensive and offensive ends. Reagan Cummins and Olivia Meakim helped control the attack. Overall I was happy with how we played today. We just weren’t able to come out on top. We are looking forward to what the rest of this season will bring.
