This was a great game by both teams. From the first minute scoring went back and forth. In the last 3 minutes of the first half UM was able to score 3 unanswered goals to get a 8-4 lead in the first half. Upper Moreland scored the first goal in the second half and Upper Dublin fought back to score 4 unanswered goals leaving Upper Moreland only up by 1 goal. Upper Moreland was able to keep a lead the rest of the game. Freshman Annalise Messina had an outstanding game, leading Upper Moreland in draw controls, ground balls, assists, and forced turnovers. She really came out to play hard today!! Avery Adamski and Allison LaRocco really stepped it up on defense when we needed them the most. Heidi Wittick scored a goal to put us up 10-8 and was solid in the midfield. Emma Hurley truly “saved” the day for us, she was amazing in goal today, with 21 saves! A lot of those saves happened in key moments throughout the game. I was really happy with our composure today and our teamwork. We are really coming together as a team and are growing each game we play. The whole team contributed to this win.
