Comments: After a slow start and 1-5 lead by Wissahickon, West never gave up and started gaining the momentum back with about 10 minutes left in the first. We started getting draw controls, limited our turnovers and defense had some nice holds with Lauren Devlin getting some crucial saves as well. Elle Ueland was two for two and helped cut their lead in the first. Jacq Fitzgerald had an excellent, well rounded game with 5 draws, 2 ground balls, 1 caused turnover, 1 assist and 3 goals. She is just a solid, physical player and she really came out to win tonight. Bryn Boylan had another exceptional game. Her acceleration through the ball is spectacular and her poise is hard to believe given she is only a sophomore. She had 6 draws, 7 ground balls, 2 assists and 4 goals. These ladies have a lot to be proud of this season and this is just another one to add to the list, not because it was a win, but because they never gave up and they played as a team. Victories are so much better when it is the result of unity. As Bryn says, you can't spell WEST without WE.
