CR South brought a lot of energy to the game today and were able to make some adjustments during the game the swung momentum in their favor. Camryn Brundage was excellent today and we had a really hard to trying to stop her. I know that team is young and will only get better in the coming seasons.
Coming out of halftime, we struggle with winning the draw and they were on offense for most of the third period. During the break before the start of the 4th quarter, Emma Greenberg and Sophia Stehlik spoke to the team and I think that really got them fired up to start the 4th quarter. We were able to win the draws for the rest of the game, build a lead, maintain possession and run the clock out. Lila Marciniak had two big goals and Lex McCabe did as well. Throughout the game there was some big saves by Ava Fell and our defense was able to cause some timely turnovers. This was a good game for us.
