Bensalem Comments
Bensalem played CR South today in a tough SOL National match up. Honestly the Owls were a little lucky to win but as Coach Brown told his team, sometimes good teams find a way to win bad games!

CR South started the game very strong and a mistake lead to a goal by South. Bensalem went into halftime down 1-0.

After talking with the team at halftime the Owls came out and still didn’t get a lot going. It honestly just seemed like today just wasn’t our day. However Bensalem got a throw in close to the Hawks net and were able to capitalize on the throw by Jordan Lee. There was a little scrum in front of goal and Matt Edwards was able to get enough on the ball to get it into the net to tie the game.

The CR South team continued to come at us and scored another goal to take the 2-1 lead. With about 12 minutes left, it was do or die tie and we switched the lineup and formation a bit and went after a tying goal. With 6 minutes left Jon Larbi finished off a Hunter Shay cross with a header into the side of the net. The team was really pumped to tie up the game! We switched back to the original formation and it produced a breakaway for Jon Larbi who finished another one for the 3-2 win! The break was set up by a great pass from Ryan Antry.

A lot of credit to CR South for playing so hard and making us grind through the match. They honestly deserved to win and out played us for 95% of the game.

The Owls have a 10 game unbeaten streak and we have Truman Thursday night for our Senior Night. Game is at 7:30pm.
