Neshaminy travelled to Downingtown West (make-up from last Saturday-we gave up a home game to get it made up). It had a playoff implications. We controlled large portions of the games and created several outstanding opportunities but Downingtown West keeper Ryan Miller was up to the challenge, making one outstanding save after another. In the 1st overtime Mike Thomas and Gavin Rowan had great chances but Miller came up big to keep the score tied. Lou Salmi, Alex Daeche, Mike Albarran, and Ian Siwinski did a great job limiting the D-West offense to only a few chances. GK's Nick Walker and Trevor Rush combined for the shutout (our 4th straight). With the tie we locked up a playoff spot. The boys really got locked in this past week and played their best soccer of the year. I am happy the guys got back to the playoffs after missing out last year.
