We were happy to come away with a win this evening. It was Bensalem’s senior night and even with restrictions and protocol they did a nice job of celebrating their seniors and their career.
We started pretty well and took the lead from a Sammy Judge free kick. She also added a pk after Jayne Bogle was fouled in the box. The early lead allowed us to control the possession and some of our play was excellent. We were unfortunate to score once or twice before Taylor Brennan added a third from long range.
In the second half Bensalem came out strong and pulled one back on a great finish off a cross before Christine Jablonsky added a 4th goal for us.
We used a lot of players tonight as we are still trying to figure out our best combinations, we were really impressed with Morgan McCaffery and Riley Hamilton in the back while Izzy Linus, DJ Lepore and Ell Needham did a good job in the middle.
From the beginning of the game our seniors set the tone with their determination and composure. Our younger players can definitely learn from their focus in these situations.
