Sami Roby played a strong game on defense and scored her 1st of 2 goals tying the score at 2 late in the first half. She had her 2nd to start the scoring in the the second half. We really needed our players to step up as we were playing down a player for the entire second half. They certainly did that and not only not allow Bensalem to score again but scored three more goals of our own. The whole team contributed and every player that stepped onto the field played a role in this win. Sofia Jakimoski played well in several positions including midfield and striker. Paige Marek held down the midfield and kept Bensalem from playing the ball through the middle of the field. Grace Bochnak used her speed at striker to put pressure on their back line. Lia Jablonoski had to move from her usual striker position to help fortify the back line once we had to play down. This was a great start to our season and looking foward to Wissahickon on Monday.
