We beat Pennridge 1-0.
We played a very composed first half. I thought both teams had some good chances and it was pretty even. We were a little anxious in our midfield in the first 6-8 minutes but once we settled down we played a smart game.

First half ended 0-0.

I thought Pennridge came out strong in the second half. We again needed 6-8 minutes to find our groove and than we settled in. It was a very tough and physical game. They have a lot of tough talented girls on that team. We got a free kick from about 28 yards out that Ryan Fitzsimmon’s hit low and hard, their goalie made a great save it came out to Taylor Moyer who hit it twords goal that one of their defenders stopped and Kyra LaLena banged in the rebound for the games only goal.

My back line played outstanding tonight and it was led by my two captains Meg Gallagher and Trish Hauck. Jenna Abazza made some great saves and Tori Albrecht and Erin Fitzsimmon’s held down the middle. I thought we ended the game well and played tough and composed. That was a really big win for us. They are absolutely the best team we will play all year and we just happened to be a little better tonight. This is a big confidence boost for us and now it’s time to get ready for Horsham on Saturday.
