Cheltenham Comments
We lost 0-3 to Upper Moreland. We came out strong and played well in the first half. I like how we took what we learned at practice and from other games and started to piece things together. The second half we didn’t come out with the same intensity and Upper Moreland capitalized on that. They are a well coached team and did the little things well on both sides of the ball.

Our league is really competitive, and each team that steps onto the field is always showing up to battle and win. Day in and day out, our players are in the grind, doing all they can to get the win. We saw that in our match-up with Springfield Wednesday, and we knew that Cheltenham was going to show up as well.
The loss to Springfield Wednesday was tough, and we needed to regroup and learn from that experience. Today, we did a really good job at moving the ball, winning 50/50's and finishing our attacks. It was great to see Kylie Wiest get her first varsity goal. Brooke Lobban and Willow Taylor are work horses, they were able to connect for Willow's goal, and Brooke was then able to finish one off a great ball from Katie Slear.
Our defense and midfield did a great job in containing Cheltenham's attack, and we were quick on our transitional play out of the middle and the back line. Kyra Favors, Eliza Feil, Katie Slear, Maggie Brophy, and Nicole Cancel played really strong in center of the field for us, and were integral to this win. Natalie Walton recorded a second shutout for the season with the help of our defensive line of Annalise Messina, Skye Kramer and Devin Bush.
It was a good team win, and will give us some momentum moving into a three game week next week.
