Lower Moreland Comments
Another tough crossover loss to Council Rock tonight. They are a talented team with a lot of depth. Our girls fought really hard, but ran out of steam along the way.
Another standout performance for center back Agnes Kroll. And attacker Shannon Mahon was putting a lot of pressure on CR's back line before leaving the game with an injury.
We are looking forward to learning from this week's games and growing as a team from the adversity. When given the option of canceling practice tomorrow, the girls were unanimous that they want to get back out on the pitch to keep improving. I believe the best is yet to come.

Tonight's win means that they have achieved double digit victories in all 4 years as well as the playoffs every season so far. More importantly the girls have shown great teamwork throughout their time and a willingness to be unselfish for the benefit of the team. Their actions, hard work and leadership skills have impacted the players behind them and it was very noticeable tonight how badly our group wanted to win for them. They are highly respected and liked by their peers and it was great to see everyones enjoyment this evening.
Having so many seniors could have lead to a slow start tonight but we came out quickly and Mia Cairone was unlucky to hit the crossbar in the first few minutes, soon after LM had a great opportunity too but couldn't quite take advantage. We began to settle down and create more moments but it took us a while until finally Audrey Rogan was able to combine into a breakaway and finish well. That seemed to take a little of the pressure off and we added a second soon after when Mia went through on goal and a clearance fell to Audrey Rogan again, she was able to compose herself and finish from 25 yards.
We've been struggling a little to close out games when we have a lead and at half time we stressed the need to do that, and early in the second half we really started to play well, we added two quick goals in 3 mins when Bella Lanza crossed for Mia Cairone to finish and then Lanza scored off a great corner kick from Addison Martin.
Tonight was all about our seniors and they performed very well. In goal Reese Ludwig and Ellie Beldowicz were able to combine to keep the clean sheet too.
