Lady Hatters came out with a 4-1 win over a very talented Lower Moreland team. We were missing a couple of key players for todays game so we knew we had to come out strong. Cait carpenter gave us the 1-0 lead at half time with a beautiful head ball goal off a corner from Emma Levin. Lower Moreland goalie made such great saves for them. Second half we were able to go up 2-0 from a goal from Sarah Boland assisted from Kitty Randa. Lower Moreland was able to get a beautiful volley goal on us. We started to get more energy and communication after that goal against us. We took it down the field when Kitty Randa laid it off to Emma Levin for an 18 yard shot to go in. Only a couple minutes later we took it down the left side where Mia Bellizzie found Caroline Shegogue who took a shot from distance to hit top cross bar to go in. It was a very good battle between both the teams. Maddy Mornino really stepped up for us playing the defensive centermid role. It was her first start as a freshman and she was winning almost every 50/50 ball and was able to hold us down in that position. Hatters travel to Springfield on Tuesday for a 3:30pm start.
