It was senior night and we celebrated our seniors, Molly Donaldson, Riley McGuire, Jordyn Harris and Mya Stevens. Great pre game ceremony honoring the girls and their families.

We took the energy from the pregame ceremony right into the first half. We were connecting passes and getting runs in behind their defense. We had multiple chances on goal but could not put it past their keeper. Qtown center back, Anna Greenday, is a terrific player with good speed and is very tough to beat 1v1.

Our midfielders were winning balls and were more physical than Qtown. Defensively our back four had another solid game. Qtown has a lot of speed up top and are tough to handle but our backs did a great job.

In the second half we expected Qtown to come out strong and try to control the game. They were starting to create chances on goal and were putting us under pressure. They went up 1-0 on a great one time finish off a service into the area. Their second goal came of a corner in which we got caught napping defensively.

Down 2-0 with 10 minutes left we got a free kick about 20 yards out and Junior Ryleigh White hammered it into the upper corner for her 7th of the season. 5 minutes latter she struck another free kick from about 25 yards out over the Qtown keeper for her 8th of the year to tie the game 2-2.

5 minutes into the first overtime senior keeper Molly Donaldson made a save and punted the ball down the left side. Ryleigh White took it out of the air and beat the defender down the left side and slid the ball past the Qtown keeper to the far post for the game winner.

Senior keepers Riley White and Molly Donaldson both made a few great saves to keep us in the game.

Very proud of the girls play tonight. We had been struggling a bit the last couple games so this was a big win for them on a very special night. Happy to get the W for the seniors.
