It took us a bit to settle in and get used to the field and the surface. In the 29th minute we were able to move the ball through the middle finding Maggie Brophy who put a ball out to Ava Warga. Ava was able to sneak it pass the goalie, giving us the lead. At half time we discussed being first on ball and playing simple. We controlled possession in the second half, and were high pressuring their midfield and their back line. Maggie Brophy controlled the middle really well today and was dangerous on both the offensive and defensive ends. In the 55th minute we put n a strong offensive attack that resulted in an Interboro own goal. Two minutes later , Lizzie Walker found Maggie Brophy on a beautiful corner. Brophy headed the ball right in. Three game weeks are a grind; it was nice to see the girls bounce back from yesterday’s loss with this solid win. Today was a team effort with everyone contributing.
