SAHS vs CB West

SAHS 3-2

Exciting game! We had a lot of energy going into it, with senior night excitement and a hype crowd.

We were first to score early on in the first half; however, were down a goal at half (1-2).

Like many of our games, we score more goals in the 2nd half - and we did just that. We were hungry to win this game - especially our seniors.

Ali Walsh, #10 on CB West's team was a very strong defensive player that played a hard game. She shut down many of our attacking opportunities and proved she was a beast, especially with balls in the air.

SAHS Goal #1 was scored by Senior, Tori Dowd - assisted by Senior, Hannah Croll giving us our first goal of the season off a corner kick...finally! 34 minutes left in first half.

SAHS Goal 2 came in the 2nd half, again with 34 minutes or so left. Beautiful combination play started by Ali Trick who had a great pass to Bre Derenzi, who got the ball back to Ali and FINALLY goal scored by Cara McCousland. Our possession looked strong tonight.

Golden goal came with just under 3 minutes left in double overtime. Junior Campbell Power had a beautiful "rebound" off a corner kick back outside of the 18, which allowed Campbell to get the ball back in the box, with a great cross - getting the ball to Trick who scored with a wide open net from the back post.
