Central Bucks West Comments
So we beat Souderton 3-1
This was a total team win tonight. We came to their field on their Pink out night and played a great 80 minutes of soccer.
I thought we played well in the first half, we had some great opportunities but we couldn’t put one in. They scored on us late on a ball we couldn’t clear and we went into halftime down 1-0.
The second half the girls came out on fire. We scored in the first 5 minutes on a great set piece. Taylor Moyer hit a ball far post that Tori Albrecht headed back to Keely McGlone who knocked it in to tie it at 1-1.
We continued to press and a couple minutes later Maeve Schiffler played a ball up top to Moyer who turned her defender on the 20 and rifled a left footed shot that gave us a 2-1 lead.
We continued to press even harder and Erin Fitz got our 3rd goal when she stripped the ball from the midfielder at the 30 she took a couple of touches and hit a laser from 25 out that put the game away.
I was really happy to see us play the game out. Souderton is a extremely tough team to defend in the midfield and I thought we did a good job keeping them in check.
We had some injuries and we had some girls come up big today. The player of the match was Allie Evan. She was a beast in the back and Mariella Neri filled in for Courtney Moylan and played outstanding at center back. We got great minutes from Grace Parlee, Erin Stranix, and Ava Longo.

CB West - 3
Souderton took the lead early in the match but weren't able to hold onto it as Central Bucks West threw numbers forward in the second half. With 12 minutes to play in the first half Souderton claimed the game's first goal after Katie Pazdziorko made a good run down the right side of the field to send in a cross that was eventually hit home by Hannah Alderfer. The Indians almost doubled their lead before half time in similar fashion, but Avery Nogami shot the ball just wide of West's net. Souderton had a strong first half in which they were able to control the midfield and win almost every 50/50 ball.
West's first goal came off a dangerous set piece just 5 minutes into the second half. Ten minutes later they doubled their lead with a good 1v1 move and finish. A minute later they put the game out of reach with a rocket of a shot from 30 yards out, after Souderton lost the ball in the midfield trying to launch the attack.
Souderton created a few chances towards the end of the match but it was too little to late. The Indians look to bounce back on Friday as they visit Central Bucks South.
