Tonight's game was really a crowd pleaser--both teams fighting from the first whistle to the last. Possession was split pretty equally throughout the game. in the first half, we played a bit more direct, getting quite a few opportunities but not being able to finish them. At the half we discussed a few changes to our game plan and discussed what we would need to do to improve our play. In the second half, we were able to get more into a rhythm, we were finding feet, showing back to ball, and switching the field. Again, we were able to create some dangerous opportunities. In the 68th minute, Springfield put one in. We didn't take our foot off the gas. We played a really sound game--we had the effort and drive; we just didn't finish. We had strong play throughout the field. Madeline Cox, Leah King, Keiley Hawk, Maggie Brophy, and Stephanie Jones really worked well together in transitioning to our attack and winning 50/50 balls. Our defensive line was also solid, Annalise Messina, Lizzie Walker and Deana Swedberg played a really smart game. Gracie Costello was spectacular in net--
