It took us a full half to warm up, Cheltenham had four or five chances in the first half that were dangerous. Kudos to their team for coming out strong. The second half we turned it on. At the turn of the half we were able to net three goals the first of which happened 50 seconds into the half. There was a passing series through the midfield that eventually found Alexis Lamb just outside the six, she was able to hit it in far post. We continued to put high pressure on Cheltenhams back line and their midfield, and because of that were able to slide in behind their defense. That pressure caused two penalty kicks to be called. One being finished by Madison Zachweija, and the second being finished by Sarah Veneziale. Both going to be kicks were a result of Kathryn Morrow beating her defender and going for the goal.
