100 minute battle, 100 degree heat---a great start to a new season. We went down early in the game. We had what looked to be some first game jitters in the first twenty minutes that put us behind.

At the half we spoke about keeping our shape, playing our system and battling back. We wanted to get a goal quickly in the second half, and that is what happened. 50 seconds in, we had the ball in front of the net and Maggie Brophy scored her first career goal at the Varsity level. We were able to continue to play hard, had other opportunities but were met with solid challenges from Upper Merion. We didn't give up, we persevered and Willow Taylor scored the equalizer with seconds left in the game.

It was a spectacular comeback; it showed our character.

Going into OT we had our plan and we continued to execute it, but we weren't able to find the back of the net.

Both teams played hard today---kudos to Upper Merion. We are looking forward to next week and will definitely keep that hunger for the "W".
