We set out today to set the tone and come out strong. We have been working on our touches, our speed of play, our transition game, and today it really showed. Our possession game was strong, we were able to move the ball through the midfield and found our forward line; we played the simple ball today and because of that we were able to generate a significant amount of opportunities, with only one making it in the goal. Lizzie Walker has been such a threat to opposing teams with her set pieces. She put a tremendous corner across the box which found it's way to Leah King, who put the ball back into the box, Brogan Neely found herself on the other end of the pass and buried the shot. We continued to control the ball, and moved it well through the system. Our back line played strong, and Gracie Costello recorded her 6th shutout. Maggie Brophy and Stephanie Jones held the middle with support from Leah King, Keiley Hawk and Madeline Cox. Ava Warga had a nose for the goal, hitting just about every post. We had strong play off the bench and were able to continue to high pressure Upper Merion.
