Council Rock North Comments
Another slow start for us this evening but we showed great determination in the second half to come away with the win again. Rustin were quicker on the ball and more threatening in the first half and they hit the post early before taking the lead in the first ten minutes. Shortly after some good play ended with Isabel Diaz finishing from a Mia Cairone pass. For the rest of the half we were on our heels a little and right before half time Rustin took the lead again to make it 2-1.
Ou focus and aggressive mentality helped in the second half and we got the equalize midway through the second half when Mia found Sara Tyler driving in to the box to finish into the bottom corner. After that we continued to create good moments, Sydney Linus served a great corner for Amber Yuan to head home to make it 3-2 and the Sydney hit a great free kick from 30 yards that the keeper had no chance to save to make it 4-2 with 9 mins left.
Our midfield play was much improved in the second half and that was in large part due to Sydney Linus and a great performance from Addison Martin, who's positioning and decision making was excellent. Freshman forward Sarina Igval caused a lot of problems and like last night we were able to use a lot of players to allow us to stay fresh towards the end of the game.
We still have a lot of things we want to fix, but wining the first two games against the opponents we have faced is a good start to the season for us.
