We played about as sloppy as sloppy can get today. We let mistakes compound each other, we didn't back up our pitchers, and we stranded 9 runners on base in 5 innings. Our team is a dramatically better team than we showed today, and hopefully we will rebound and play the way we know how as we get back on the hunt for a district one playoff spot.

One bright spot today: We have been preaching to the girls that they need to hit line drives because that is what gets base hits and scores runs. Well Molly Sheehy hit about as perfect of a line drive as you can get. She smoked a ball to dead centerfield that never went any higher than about 10 feet in the air, and drilled the top of the centerfield fence as it bounced over for a homerun. You can't hit a ball any more solidly than she hit that one. She absolutely got all of it!
