Council Rock North Comments
For the second time this week, CRN came out on the losing end of a marathon softball game. This one went much different than the last. Instead of a high scoring affair, this was a good old fashioned pitchers dual. Our girls definitely had some trouble adjusting to the difference between Freiband, and Lawson from one game to the next. Lawson really had our girls totally off balance for a long time to start the game. She had a perfect game going until the 5th including 10 K's. She was absolutely dominating our batters, and she deserves a ton of credit for the performance she had today. On the flip side, Olivia Schlindwein came out slightly off (walking the leadoff batter) but settled down and got stronger as she went, ultimately wracking up 25 Ks in the loss. I was extremely proud of the way she battled. She pitched absolutely amazing. At the start she had a little trouble hitting her spots, but she worked through it and put out an absolutely dominant performance in the circle with a 25 K to 4 walk (2 Intentional) ratio. The poise and tenacity she showed today was something special to see, but even more so considering she is only a freshman. She has a bright future ahead of her!
