CR North celebrated our senior day today against Bensalem. The box score is below.

Today was a great afternoon for our girls. We had a blast honoring our 4 seniors, Shay Barbolish, Taylor Gearhart, Evie Passanante, and Molly Sheehy. Our offense was clicking nicely today with the girls working hard on the bases and getting timely hits. The middle of our order in particular really stepped up big today! Our 3 - 6 hitters (Sheehy, Klein, Edelman, and Hardy) went a combined 9 for 13 including 4 doubles, a sac bunt, a sac fly, 2 stolen bases, 7 runs scored, and 10 RBI. That is just absolutely insane offensive production! Olivia Schlindwein once again battled one of the hottest days of the season to put in a complete game effort to earn the win. Bensalem really battled the entire way, putting runners on, but Liv did a great job scattering the hits to prevent rally's from starting, and in the top of the 6th when Bensalem strung a few hits together and momentum started to shift, Zoe Hornstein (CF), Taylor Gearhart (SS), and Molly Sheehy (C) put together a perfect relay in to home to put a dagger in the rally and help preserve the lead. Taylor and Molly are both 4 year starters for our program, and that was just an absolutely huge play where those seniors really stepped up. If they don't put together the perfect relay that run scores, and Bensalem still has runners on with only 1 out, but I've gunned Taylor's overhand as high as 67 so I knew we had a shot and when she turned and put the ball perfectly thrown to the tag spot from shallow left-center, and Molly made the catch and tag on the sliding runner simultaneously, all I could think was, wow, that's seniors stepping up with a big time play on their senior day, and you can't ask for anything better!
