The Neshaminy Redskins jumped out to an early lead against the Lansdale Crusaders on Monday, tallying 10 runs in the first inning. The inning was fueled with hits by senior Danielle Monaco and sophomores Rachel Allen and Maddie Nelson. Senior Kylee Jones earned the first RBI of the game by drawing a walk in her first at bat. Monaco added three more to the board with a double to the fence. Sophomore Peyton Tierney added another with a sacrifice fly to left field while Nelson earned the last RBI of the inning with a single down the left field line. In the second inning, junior Zoe Shimp added another run to the board with a single up the middle. Nelson then contributed once again with another single to left field. In the third inning, Tierney earned the final RBI with a hard groundball to the right side. Nelson led the team with two hits while Allen, Monaco, junior Michelle Baradziej and Shimp each had one. Monaco led the team with 3 RBIs with Nelson and Tierney close behind with 2 each. Jones and Shimp each added on with RBIs as well. Senior Mia Barone earned the win on the mound. Barone pitched three shut-out innings, facing 11 batters and striking out 9.
