Norristown softball continued their hitting ways with 9 hits scoring 10 runs against Cheltenham in a game that ended in 5 innings due to the mercy rule winning 10-0. Gabby Berry (2 for 2 double) & Shauna Byrnes (2 for 2 double 3 runs scored) paced Norristown's offense. Kim Detwiler (1 for 3 triple) & Maggie Creciun (1 for 3 double 2 runs scored) also contributed to the offense. Pitcher Daisy Foster pitched a 1 hit shutout striking out 4 only facing 16 batters in 5 innings. Foster had great control of her pitches today and was backed up in the field with an inning ending double play by Berry in the 3rd inning & some great defensive plays by Devon King & Creciun throughout. Foster also helped herself at the plate going 1 for 3 at the plate.
