UD scored their first run when Julia Wolf hit a 1-out double in the 2nd inning. She later scored on an RBI (infield) single by Taylor Avery. The 2nd run came when Lauren Carboni hit a 2-out double, then courtesy runner Maya Segal scored on an RBI single by Korynn Bischoff. PW tied it up in the bottom of the 6th when H. Suh led off the inning with the singled, advanced on a sac bunt and then cored on a misplayed ground ball hit by S. Melillo. Melillo scored 2 batters later on a throwing error. UD came back in the top of the 7th when Avery led off the inning with a single and then later scored on a 2-out RBI single by Bischoff. Bischoff then came around to score on Wolf's RBI single. Despite two hits in the bottom of the 7th by J. Tassoni and K. Yeager, PW was unable to generate any more offense.
