PW beat Upper Merion on Thursday afternoon by a score of 9 - 1. The win was a true team effort with base hits from Tori Barattucci, Corinne Watson, Laura Berman and Amanda Whalen. Offensive standouts for the Colonials were: senior catcher, Alexa Borkowski who plated 2 runs for the Colonials; she went 3 - 4 with two singles and a triple with 1 RBI. Sophomore Jordan Katz went 3 for 4 with 2 singles and a double and 2 RBIs. Junior Jen Lurty went 2 for 2 with one RBI. Junior pitcher, Erica Miller threw 5 scoreless innings, giving up one hit while fanning 8 Vikings. Senior pitcher, Gabby Stamler finished out the last two innings allowing one hit and one run.
