Bensalem Lost to Villa Joe 6-5 on Monday despite Bensalem’s Maggie Formichelli throwing a 2 hitter with 9 Ks.

Villa Joe started the game off strong scoring 6 runs in the first inning on 2 hits, a walk and 3 Bensalem errors. A walk lead off the second to Villa and that was all the offense Formichelli would allow as she retired the next 15 batters.

Defensively we need to play better behind our pitchers, with the way Maggie threw today there is no reason to lose a game with those kind of stats, we need to better in the field to help her out.

Offensively for the Owls Camryn Pickering and Megan Klein each had 3 hits in the game. Ashlyn Merz also had a multi-hit game with 2 singles.
