Abington (1-0 SOL, 1-0 overall) earned a victory on the road against Bensalem (0-1 SOL, 0-1 overall) to start their season. The Ghosts used multiple attack options and aggressive serving against a tough Bensalem defense to complete the win.

Xavier Voit finished with nine kills, three blocks, three digs and two aces. Zach Miller tallied eight kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Myles Winegrad added six kills, 11 digs and an ace. Ben Holler contributed six kills, 18 digs and one ace. Jake Kosik helped defensively with 29 digs throughout the three sets.
