The historic season for the Bensalem Owls came to close Thursday night in a 3-0 (17-25, 18-25, 17-25) loss to undefeated 1 seed CB East. Outside hitters Ethan Fan (7 kills) and Shiv Patel (6 kills 2 aces) played well for the Owls. Setter Basheer Ghafary (19 assists) also set up middle hitters Paul Leible (4 kills 5 blocks) and Kyle McVicar (2 kills). Brad Rosenberg served well with 3 aces.
The CB East Patriots were led tonight by Dylan Colbert, but with an outstanding team effort in support. Colbert accounted for 14 kills, 7 digs, and 2 blocks. Right there with Colbert was Jacob LaBouliere, who managed to pile up 11 kills, 6 digs, and a block. The ball was distributed brilliantly by Steve Storm, who dished 28 assists while adding 2 kills 2 aces, 5 blocks, and 5 digs. The Patriots received a strong middle attack from Christian Wolf (2 kills, 6 blocks, 2 digs, and 1 ace) and Thomas Galagher-Reske (4 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 dig). Jack Miller had a strong match, gathering 1 kill, 2 digs, 1 block, and 2 aces, and CJ Dalby contributed a block and an assist. Two players stood out defensively for the Patriots tonight. Jack Zapf passed a 3.0 while Ryan Figus led the team with15 digs.
