we travelled to CB West for boys volleyball. CB West won the match in 4 sets (25-16, 25-19, 24-26, 25-14). CB West served the ball well and we struggled most of the match with getting out of serve receive which led to us playing from behind. After staying close for the start of the first game, CB West rattled off 7 straight points at 9-7 to take a 16-7 lead which we never recovered from. In the second game we began to improve but still gave up runs of points which kept us playing catch up on the scoreboard throughout the game. In the third game we recovered in passing and began to serve more effectively for points and were able to fight for a win in overtime at 26-24. In the forth game, CB West again controlled the game with serve and went on to a 25-14 victory.

Stats:

Serving – Seniors Curtis Carter and Jordan Walden led the team with 6 points (Curtis also had 1 ace) and Junior Brian Day also contributed with 5 points and 2 aces

Setting – Dave An led the team with 25 assists

Hitting – Outside hitter Dror Bareket led the team with 12 kills and Jordan Walden and Curtis Carter also had 11 and 10 kills respectively

Blocking – We were not as effective as in the past with our blocking but Curtis Carter led the way with 6 blocks and Brian Day contributed with 3.

Passing – Senior Libero Jon Lee led the defense and recorded 14 digs.
