Abington Comments
Pennsbury put up an incredibly tough offensive onslaught; #13 was a very serious weapon from both the front and back row. Serves were tough and the defensive effort was coordinated to support the offense. Very solid team.

Abington put up a fight in the third set to stay alive but didn't quite pull through; Zach Miller led the offensive effort from the outside with 9 kills (0.33 average) and 8 digs. Jack Scharnikow added another 3 kills from the outside. Setter Brendan Dougherty racked up eight of the assists and two kills, while sophomore setter Max Brahler added eight more assists and two aces. Middles Danyel Mayo and Kai Savadove rounded out the Ghosts' offense with their blocking efforts to try and contain the Falcons' offense, and added two and one kill each, respectively.

This was a really tough game for us, and showed us that as a young team we have a lot of work left to do, but that we can hang with the best of them. Pennsbury is going to be an incredible competitor this year in the SOL.
