“Today was a definitely a roller coaster for us! We played really well in the first two sets and ended the day with a lot of errors in the last two sets.”
“CR South is a good team and they definitely make you earn all your points. I don’t think they missed more than two or three serves all day. We spread the ball around pretty well today and got a lot of people involved in our offense. Lizzie was running around all over the place today. She’s been great at running our offense this year. I guess Courtney, Allie, Millie and Maddy really liked her setting today. Our defense was really scrappy and allowed our offense to be as successful as it was all day. It certainly wasn’t the outcome we wanted today but we have a lot of the season left, and we plan to get back to the drawing board tomorrow night at practice.”

The Golden Hawks were led by outside Celina Varian who had 10 kills, 6 digs and 1 ace. Junior outside Ariana Ranieri contributed 2 aces and 4 kills. Senior setter Paige O’Connell had 5 kills, 13 digs, 2 aces and 25 assists. Sophomore setter Ava Paulson had 8 kills, 10 assists and 10 digs. Senior libero Bria DeSaro anchored the defense with 18 digs.
