On Saturday, UM traveled to Garnet Valley to participate in a tri-match with the Lady Jags and Villa Maria. Upper Merion had to go to a 5th game to defeat a determined and talented Garnet Valley team. Scores of the 5 sets were 25-14,21-25,26-24,20-25 & 15-9. Casey Griffith led the Lady Vikings with 17 kills while Melanie Ingram had 14. Emily Shannon was the "hero" of the match as she had career highs in kills (12), digs(36) & aces(7). Her twin sister, Ashley had a career high of 43 digs. Eryn Brady had 1 solo and 4 assisted blocks while Niki Carpernter added 3 solo blocks. Setter Natalie had a career high 39 assists.
