Game 2 Win 25-15
Game 3 Win 25-23
Game 4 Loss 19-25
Game 5 win 15-12

It was a challenging night tonight, because South had come off a tournament on Saturday at Penncrest where our team went 5-3 and pool play defeating Springfield, Chi-Chester, losing 2 to Wood and splitting with Penncrest. We missed going into playoffs because Wood had the same record as us but beat us head to head. In any case, tonight was tough because the girls had one day of rest after that very hot Saturday in a HOT OVEN with 95 degrees, playing all day.

Tonight we struggled with consistency because PW did a great job with several skills, such as serving trying to get us out of system, with defense not allowing to get many kills and with #6 hitting very well down the line. These 3 factors caused us problems in our 2 set losses. We are trying to stay consistent but sometimes it is a roller coaster ride of volleyball skills when you are young. Standouts tonight @ serving were Erin Cleary had 6 aces, Sara Poli and Megan Manderson both had 5 aces, Larissa Keer had 3 aces, Taylor Danilowicz 4 aces, Megan Dunn 1 ace. Taylor Danilowicz and Sara Poli had 7 kills each, Megan Manderson had 3 kills with Erin Cleary setting having 18 assists. Breana Jackson had 4blocks and Meg Dunn had 2, Meg Manderson had 1. Brianna Bannach had 5 digs and 4 assist. Never easy to win on the road in someone else’s gym and I give credit to PW for playing very well tonight, they will give a lot of teams a run for their money this year with their scrappy defense.
