Plymouth Whitemarsh Comments
PW and Upper Dublin had yet another epic battle in the first of two District 1 Championship playback matches that will determine the 5th seed going into the PIAA State playoffs. PW rallied to pick up the win 3 sets to 2 with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-5. PW was led by the strong play by their two sophomore middles Ryleigh Gunn (15 kills, 3 blocks) and Eliza Meersman (8 kills), junior outside, Marissa Storti (10 kills), Junior libero, Giuliana Storti (24 digs, 2 aces), and junior setter, Ella Walker (21 assists). Sophomore, Brooke Peduzzi stepped up and filled in for senior, Amanda Busk, who had to leave the match due to illness. It truly was a team effort and a match that we will not soon forget. The team wishes to congratulate Upper Dublin coach, Paul Choi and his wife on the birth of their child and congratulations to the Upper Dublin team for a fantastic season.
